What happens after filing?
A filed application receives an official record and moves through CIPO's process. Timing and events vary by case.
Examination and correspondence
CIPO examines the application. If an issue is raised, the customer must understand the deadline and decide whether independent professional help is appropriate.
Advertisement and opposition
An approved application is advertised and may be opposed. Markframe tracks information and deadlines but does not represent customers in opposition proceedings.
